Summerpresent.

This summer I entered a swap called “Summer present”.
We would all get a secret friend, and during summer we should gather stuff our secret friend would fancy. Wrap it in nicely, and send it in the end of summer.
Actually we were all going to open at the same time during an internet-chat. But unfortunate I cant participate so I was aloud to open it today. Yeah!

It contained:
A very nice Country Sampler Pattern (I will do that one day). One pair of Quilt Clips. They will come in handy (maybe already tonight). So will the Double-faced Basting Tape. Brilliant.
A package of NeedleGripIt would be perfect in my needlework-box. It would save my fingers of being perforated. The present also contained 3 spools of nice coloured special effect tread, an a piece of fabric in one of the colour scale I love.

Beautiful!

I could get even crazier. But I had to control myself.
Isn’t it gorgeous? This is the result of me doing a detour in town and drop by “Perlehuset” (House of pearls).
I am into ½ on ½ swap where I needed some black and white stuff. As you can see I ended up with “a little bit more”. But, it’s not space consuming items, and I will need them. All of them. Even more……..

A new heart.

Yesterday I was busy helping my husband chisel the front porch. My hands were hurting me but I needed to do some needlework.
I managed to embellish a heart for swapping. And I hope my fingers will be better later on this evening.

Heart no. 13

Yeah!
I've just been to visit Kakuts Quilt in Tananger and delivered my top to be quilted.
I’ve spent this summer on hand sewing a nice piece of patchwork, on someone else’s behalf.
I am not going to show you a picture yet, because it is to be launched at another Internet site.
Tell you all later on, when I am aloud to.
Nina In Norway

Help me!
What have I just done?

Well, why not!
It seams that I jump on too much. But it is possible for a woman to have two thoughts in her head at the same time. I do have 7 or 8 at the same time.

I had a phone call from May Britt yesterday regarding roses, hearts, meeting and “crazy stuff”. I love her. The first opportunity I get, I will meet her in person. We live one-day travel apart so it is not a friend you drop in to for a cup of coffee. She encouraged me to do a Blogg, and here I am.

My name is Nina I’m 37 years. Living in Norway.
I’ve been into handcraft/needlevork since even before I could walk. I crawled over to my mom’s sewing-box. Emptied it on the living room floor and played with buttons and spools. I even used the scissors on the living room carpet.
During the years I’ve been knitting a lot of Norwegian wool sweaters, crochet bed linen and tablecloths; embroider several big pictures in cross-stitch, made my own flower decorations and jewellery. I’ve sewn my own clothes, even national outfits. The list is endless.

The last 10 years I’ve been into patchwork and quilting. I love it. It is therapy. Colours, shapes and creating, I love it.
Now I’m hooked on Crazy quilt and embellishing. I love it! It is so nice to spend time on tiny details and experiment on several techniques. And make beautiful things.

But still I have to finish all that I’ve started. Therefore I entered a competition where you participate with your UFO’s. (UnFinnishedObjects) I have entered with 25 projects.
